Pirated Winnie the Pooh toys are shovelled into the path of a steamroller during a ceremony in Bangkok February 10. On the eve of the 10th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to be held in the Thai capital, authorities are clamping down on goods that are illegally made in Thailand which contravene laws on intellectual property rights. According to the police, 112,779 compact discs, 20,000 videotapes, 300 Winnie the Pooh toys and 3,589 watches were destroyed at the ceremony.
