Sunflowers are seen on dried field near village of Ergelija village
Sunflowers are seen on a dried field near the village of Ergelija village 100 km (62 miles) east from capital Skopje August 31, 2012. The western Balkans has been hit by an ongoing heat wave that has seen temperatures over 42 degrees Celsius (108 degrees Fahrenheit), triggering hundreds of wildfires. The Miller and Farmer Association in Macedonia says the country had to import more than 60 percent of their agriculture needs this year, resulting in economic losses from higher bred prices, according to local media.
