Raul Oaida (R) shows his bicycle propelled with a self-built jet engine to his friends after a successful road test in Deva, 399 km (245 miles) of Bucharest January 12, 2013. Using his pocket money and sponsorship from various sources, Oaida, 19, made the engine in about 3 years and became the first Romanian to build a jet engine in the country after his compatriot Henri Coanda developed a jet engine for an airplane in 1910 in France, which is said to be the first ever jet engine. Oaida clocked a speed of up to 42 km per hour (26 miles per hour) with the jet bicycle during today's test. REUTERS/Radu Sigheti (ROMANIA - Tags: SOCIETY TRANSPORT)
