Lisa Shaposhnik, 27, a girl who since childhood has had a mild form of cerebral palsy, works inside an improvised kitchen at Independence Square in Kiev December 19, 2013. In order for the protests in Kiev to continue and for the people to combat the vicious cold, a lot of help was needed. Hundreds of volunteers have been working in improvised kitchens in the square, cutting bread and ham to make sandwiches and preparing soup and tea for the freezing protesters.
