Russia's Radioactive Village - 23 Nov 2010
An abandoned glue factory is reflected in Techa river in the village of Muslyumovo November 17, 2010. The village is located on the banks of the Techa river in Russia's Urals, one of the country's most lethal nuclear dumping grounds. The Mayak nuclear complex located 30 km (18 miles) from Muslyumovo, currently processing foreign radioactive wastes, dumped 76 million cubic metres (2.68 billion cubic feet) of highly radioactive waste into the river from 1949 to 1956.
