Residents' belongings are seen at the collapsed portion of a building in Diyarbakir, Kurdish-dominated southeastern Turkey April 25, 2011. 28 families living in the building were evacuated by authorities last week after cracks began to form, leaving all their belongings behind. A part of the building collapsed a day after the evacuation. The reason of the collapse is not clear but shoddy construction, lack of building regulation and corruption have been blamed for past cases of building collapse in Turkey, according to local media.
