Bulgarian performers also known as the Nestinari are seen through the haze caused by smouldering embers before they dance on them in a ritual in the village of Bulgari, about 500 km (311miles) south-east from the capital Sofia, June 3, 2007. Fire dancing is one of the oldest pagan rituals in the Balkans. In a trance-like state, the Nestinari in Bulgaria's tiny mountain village of Bulgari dance barefoot on smouldering embers, just as their ancestors did thousands of years ago. Bolivian President Evo Morales controls the ball at the 19,500 feet (6,000 meters) high snow-covered Sajama peak, the highest in Bolivia, during a match with soccer fans to protest FIFA's ban on international soccer matches at venues over 2,500 meters above sea level, June 12, 2007. FIFA says matches in oxygen-thin conditions are a health hazard and distort fair play. The ban means Bolivia,Peru, Ecuador and Colombia would not be able to host international football matches, including World Cup qualifiers, in some of their largest cities. Morales is leading efforts to have the ban overturned, saying it is "nonsensical" and "discriminatory". REUTERS/Dado Galdieri/Pool (BOLIVIA)
