23MAR94 FILE PHOTO - Mario Aburto Martinez (R) is grabbed by security personnel after shooting PRI presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio after a campaign rally in Tijuana, March 23, 1994. After five years of investigations producing 60,667 pages of evidence, officials still lack a "conclusive indication" of just what happened. UNDATED FILE PHOTO OF MURDERED 1994 PRI PARTY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.
UNDATED FILE PHOTO - 1994 PRI party Presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio, shown in an undated file photo. March 23 is the fifth anniversary of his murder and five years after Colosio was gunned down at point blank range during a campaign rally in Tijuana, no progress has been made in investigating the crime which 90% of Mexicans believe was a conspiracy. Four special prosecutors, who have gathered over 60,000 pages of evidence in the case, have failed to go beyond the theory of the lone gunman. Only one man, Mario Aburto, the confessed gunman who is serving a 46 year sentence, has been held responsible for the murder.
