SAILBOAT LIES SUBMERGED IN THE PORT OF LAUSANNE.
A sailboat lies submerged in the port of Lausanne after sinking during a storm with gale-force winds that swept through Switzerland December 26. Freak winds gusting up to 150 kph in the flatlands, and up to 200 kph atop the Jungfrau peak in central Switzerland disrupted train and road travel, uprooted trees and damaged roofs. Nine persons have been reported killed in accidents caused by the storm.
