FILE PHOTO OF PRESIDENT BUSH.
U.S. President George W. Bush fainted and fell off a couch January 13,
2002 while watching a televised Naitonal Football League game and
eating a pretzel at the White House, but a subsequent medical
examination showed he was fine, his doctor said. The president's
physicican, Air Force Col. Richard Tubb, said Bush had complained that
he had not been feeling well in the last couple of days. This
condition, combined with his having just eaten a pretzel that he did
not swallow properly, caused his heart rate to slow, and as a result,
he fainted. Bush speaks before signing a bill during a visit to
Conshohocken, Pennsylvania in this file photo from January 11, 2002.
