Resident Jaimie McMullen, whose house is nearly ready for her return, is pictured in Minot, North Dakota October 7, 2011. McMullen, with extensive help from family and friends, spent several weeks restoring the flooded house when the Souris River overwhelmed levees in June. Four months after the record flood which left about 11,000 people - more than a quarter of Minot's population -- effectively homeless, the temperature is beginning to drop and many of the displaced remain staying with friends, family, in hotels or othe shelter.
