A combination photo shows flood-affected houses in Fischerdorf and Natternberg and an aerial view of the two flooded suburbs of the eastern Bavarian city of Deggendorf. Aerial picture (C) taken on June 7, 2013, shows the rural communities along the flooded river Danube. The pictures of the houses are taken in Natternberg and Fischerdorf on December 14, 15 and 16, 2013 to illustrate the long-term effects of the spilled heating oil that got soaked into the stonework. Most of the about 500 oil-empoisoned houses had to be either demolished or costly ground-up renovated. REUTERS/Wolfgang Rattay (GERMANY - Tags: POLITICS DISASTER)

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (front row C) sits with commanders from the Basij Militia in Tehran May 7, 2006. [Iran said on Sunday any measures taken against its nuclear programme by the U.N. Security Council would push Tehran towards confrontation with the West rather than cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog. Iran has been referred to the world body after failing to convince the international community that its nuclear power programme is not a smokescreen for building weapons.]
