Kenyan bird expert Kilo holds a dead Goshawk found around Naivasha lake in the Great Rift valley
A dead Goshawk bird found, found around the Lake Naivasha, is held by David Kilo, a Kenyan bird expert and the chairman of the Lake Naivasha anti-poaching unit, in Naivasha December 5, 2005. The lake is about 100 km (62 miles) west of Nairobi. Several migratory birds have died around the lake, including the African Fish eagle and the white pelican, worrying local fishermen that migratory birds from Europe and Asia could spread the H5N1 bird flu virus on the lakes in the Great Rift valley.
