Ivorians holding placards take part in antiFrench protest in Duekoue west of Abidjan.
Ivorians holding placards reading "Ivory Coast is not a French department", take part in an anti French protest in Duekoue some 600 km ( 373 miles) west of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, March 19, 2005. A militant youth group loyal to Ivory Coast's president said it would hold protest marches this weekend to demand some 4,000 French troops quit the country where they are enforcing a ceasefire. Members of the Young Patriots movement, which was behind fierce anti-French protests in the former French colony's main city last November, will march in several towns in the west of a country still divided by civil war despite a 2003 peace deal.
