Poster encourages people to report cases of forced prostitution in Amsterdam
A poster of Dutch anti-crime organisation Foundation M encourages people to report cases of forced prostitution in Amsterdam January 12, 2006. The Netherlands launched a campaign on Thursday to fight forced prostitution by urging clients to alert police if they suspect women are being coerced into selling themselves. Billboard posters will be plastered around the country's red light districts and flyers and magazine adverts will remind those who visit brothels or window-prostitutes that not all who work in the sex industry do so willingly. The poster reads 'Appearances are deceiving. It is not what it looks like. Forced labour in prostitution is a form of human trade, slavery and is a serious crime. Report the crime via an anonymous telephone call." Foundation M is an organisation that allows people to report crimes while remaining anonymous. REUTERS/Handout
