An aerial view shows the brine pools and roads of the Soquimich (SQM) lithium mine on the Atacama salt flat, the largest lithium deposit currently in production, in the Atacama desert of northern Chile, January 10, 2013. Far from the soy and cattle that dominate its vast fertile pampas, Argentina harbors another valuable commodity that is rocketing in price and demand and luring newly welcomed foreign investors. Lithium, the so-called "white petroleum", drives much of the modern world. It forms a small but essentially irreplaceable component of rechargeable batteries, used in consumer devices like mobile phones and electric cars. It also has pharmaceutical and other applications. Indonesian youths fill up job application forms on laptops during the Career & Higher Education Fair in Jakarta, April 10, 2015. After Indonesia was crushed in the Asian financial crisis - its economy shrank 13 percent in 1998 - the battered rupiah helped it start to export its way back to growth. Now, Southeast Asia's biggest economy is growing at its slowest pace in five years, 5 percent, and the currency recently tumbled to its weakest since 1998. The rupiah's 9.3 percent slide against the dollar since June should help Indonesian manufacturers who export clothes, shoes and other products cut prices and win orders. But it isn't working that way, due to Indonesia's rising wage costs and other factors. Problems with infrastructure and bureaucracy have added to pessimism that factories can lift exports and give Indonesia a boost it needs as the coal and commodity boom which fueled growth for years is history. A Chinese applicant fills in application forms for South Korean driver's licenses as Chinese Yuan are seen among the banknotes of various countries banknotes on a desk at a driving school in Siheung March 27, 2014. Chinese shoppers already have a seemingly insatiable appetite for South Korean pop music, TV dramas, cosmetics and fashion. Now they're after another must-have item: a driver's licence. In China, would-be drivers can wait up to a year for a licence and pay double the $420 that one costs in South Korea. That has fuelled a boom in Chinese visitors taking South Korean driving tests and converting the licences when they get home. Picture taken March 27, 2014. Oh Dae-keun, 60, who was one of the participants in the latest inter-Korean reunion for families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War, holds a reunion application form showing his older brother's photo at his office in Seoul March 13, 2014. Oh said: "At the family reunions this year, I met my older brother who I was separated from even before I was born. My brother fought in the war as a volunteer when he was 17. He secretly joined the South Korean army without telling our family so naturally we all thought he was dead in the war when he disappeared. After the war was over, we missed him dearly and waited for him for several years. We didn't even know he had gone over to North Korea. If we knew he had, we would've registered for the family reunions.? Asked if he had any regrets, Oh said: ?I wish I could?ve met my brother a few years earlier since he isn?t in good condition right now.? He said he wrote down his brother?s address, hoping to be able to send him letters. The latest family reunion for those separated in North and South Korea was held on February 20-25 at the Mount Kumgang resort just north of the border and a total of 813 family members met in tears and joy. On March 17, a report on North Korea will be presented to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva. Picture taken March 13, 2014. REUTERS/Kim Hong-Ji (SOUTH KOREA - Tags: SOCIETY CONFLICT)
