New York's famed Empire State building is bathed in the colors of the British flag in honor of Diana, the Princess of Wales, as it is seen behind a British flag hanging at half-mast on 5th Avenue in New York, September 4. The Princess and her millionaire companion Dodi Al Fayed were killed in a car crash in Paris while being chased by photographers on motorcycles August 31.
