Ehab Ali Naser, a 23 year-old Syrian refugee, sits on a bench at night near a makeshift camp on a street, northern Paris, France, September 16, 2015. Ehab, in Paris for a month, arrived after an 18-month journey that started in his hometown of Homs, Syria, where he was a vendor at the souk. He spent a year in Lebanon, then travelled to Algeria and Morocco before he arrived in the Spanish port of Melila, and then headed to France. Currently he lives in a tent in a small refugee camp along a busy boulevard on the outskirts of Paris. Ehab has always dreamt of becoming a singer and one day his path crosses with that of a French producer, writer and composer visiting the refugee camp at Porte de Saint Ouen, who gives him the chance to try out his voice in a professional music studio. A bench with the word "Peace" is seen at Nicosia's Green Line December 24, 2014. Doubts over Greece's future membership of the euro are straining its historic kinship with Cyprus, as Nicosia distances itself from Athens to try to secure its foothold in the currency bloc. Cyprus wants to reverse a perception that the two countries are inextricably linked, worried that it could be dragged down with Greece, should Athens' finances collapse and force the Greeks to abandon the euro. Chargehand Terry Hanlan clears the bench in the Woolwich Ferry workshop in London February 5, 2015. Now, as in the past, there are proposals for plans to replace the Woolwich Free Ferry with either a bridge or a tunnel. However, many of the ferry workers believe there will always be a ferry service at Woolwich, which has been a place for crossing the Thames since the Saxon times. The free ferry opened in 1889, with each boat licensed to carry 1000 passengers and 15-20 vehicles. Latest figures show that on average just under 80,000 vehicles and 22,000 foot passengers use the ferry every four weeks. A combination of six pictures shows the preparation of the judges bench and the arrival of Ferdinand Kirchhof (4th R) vice-president of Germany's Constitutional Court, and his fellow judges prior to the verdict in an air traffic law trial at Germany's Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) in Karlsruhe November 5, 2014. Germany's constitutional court has rejected an attempt by the federal state of Rhineland Palatinate to challenge the legality of the country's air traffic tax, which German airlines and airports say is hurting their business. The court said on Wednesday that the tax, which has been in place since 2011 and applies to all passenger flights leaving German airports, is constitutional and does not contravene passengers' or companies' rights. A businessman rests on a bench at Tokyo's business district September 30, 2014. Japanese big manufacturers' confidence improved slightly in the three months to September, a closely watched central bank survey showed, but service-sector sentiment worsened, adding to evidence that a sales tax hike continues to weigh on the economy.
