A jail warden maintains a register inside a restaurant run by Tihar Jail authorities in Delhi
Kishan Singh Bisht, a jail warden in Tihar, maintains a register inside a restaurant run by the Tihar Jail authorities on Jail Road in west Delhi July 21, 2014. "Tihar Food Court" in west Delhi, a rehabilitation effort kicked off by the Tihar prison, opened in the first week of July on an "experimental basis" while awaiting formal clearances. It is sited half a km (0.6 mile) away from prisoners' dormitories. With a spacious interior lined with wooden tables and walls adorned with paintings done by prisoners, the 50-seat restaurant has been praised for the polite behaviour of its employees, who were trained by a prestigious nearby hotel management school. Mohammed Adel Bishty gestures during an interview with Reuters in Zawiyah, 50 km (31 miles) east of Tripoli August 30, 2011. For decades, thousands were imprisoned and executed for threatening Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's absolute power before the uprising which started in February spread hope of change across the country. 26-year-old unemployed Bishty, among the first to join the armed struggle, said he was captured, beaten with electric cables and rifle butts, then taken to Libya's notorious Abu Salim prison, where he spent almost two months.
