Irish goverment documents covering the 1972 Bloody Sunday Shootings in
Londonderry are displayed for the media on December 10, 2002, ahead of
their release by Britain's national archive, The Public Records Office
in Dublin, Ireland. The documents, dating from one of the worst years
of Irish republican violence have been released following a 30 year
period behind locked doors January 1, 2003. The information disclosed
relates to many events including Britain's reaction to "Bloody Friday",
July 22, 1972 when IRA guerrillas let off 27 bombs in less than four
