A body scanner displays a detailed outline of the body which will pick up hidden packets of drugs. Passengers, who are suspected of smuggling, are given the choice of using the scanner or going through a thorough pat down.

Protesters draw May 12 chalk outlines of bodies to represent students who were shot dead in 1998. Hundreds of students took to the streets on Friday to mark the second anniversary of bloody riots which helped to topple former President Suharto. Social and economic chaos and protests by tens of thousands of students demanding democratic reforms helped bring Suharto's army-backed rule to an end on May 21, 1998.

Pathologists examine a body March 30 handed over to Bosnia Serbs under terms outlined in the Dayton peace agreement. The body is believed to be one exhumed from a mass grave believed to have contained more than 200 civilians and troops in the central bosnian town of Mrkonjic Grad March 30. Exhumation and post mortems are expected to last a further ten days.
