File photo of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban delvering a speech during the opening ceremony of the swimming pool in Cegled, 80km east of Budapest, March18, 2014. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban looks likely to win a second term in parliamentary elections on April 6, 2014 , but the far-right Jobbik party is on course for a strong showing. Orban, 50, portrays himself as a champion of national sovereignty and has implemented policies that have hurt banks and many foreign-owned businesses. He says the measures, including a nationalisation of $14 billion in private pension assets, were needed to stabilise Hungary's shaky finances and prevent a Greek-style collapse. However, many Hungarians, especially in the poorer north-east, feel the past four years have not brought any improvement in quality of life, or jobs, aside from public works programmes. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban delivers a speech during the opening ceremony of a swimming pool in Cegled March18, 2014. Barring a major upset, Hungarians will enthusiastically re-elect Orban and his Fidesz party for another term in April.
