Pike's grandfather Dr. Wendsler Nosie, Sr. has been living at Oak Flat for the last year and a half praying for the land and drawing attention to Apache Stronghold's fight to save the sacred land. "I think a lot of people get a misconception that the Oak Flat movement just began like within the last year or so, but my grandfather's been fighting this fight for over 18 years."
