A combination picture shows aquarium curator and manager Daniel de Castro, 45, posing for photographs in his everyday clothing and dressed in his Father Christmas scuba gear in the main fish tank, and holding a tub of food before feeding it to fish and sharks, at the Malta National Aquarium in Qawra, Malta, December 2, 2020. De Castro from Madrid, Spain, has been dressing up as a scuba-diving Father Christmas at aquariums in several countires for the past 20 years. Unable to travel back to Spain to spend Christmas Day with his extended family because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, he plans to get together with his family via the internet over dinner. It will be very different Christmas from the norm - he's disappointed not to be able to meet his family and friends in person, but prefers not to take any risks - "I'm staying away and hope to have a proper Christmas a few months down the line." His Christmas message is clear: "Stay safe, keep all measures in place and this will be over soon. Next year will be better. Don't rush this Christmas or you won't have any more Christmases after that." REUTERS/Darrin Zammit Lupi SEARCH "GLOBAL SANTA" FOR THIS STORY. SEARCH "WIDER IMAGE" FOR ALL STORIES

A sink stands in the ensuite bathroom of what was formerly then-Princess Elizabeth's bedroom at Villa Guardamangia, a former residence of Britain's Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, in Pieta, Malta, July 1, 2020. "The villa had separate apartments for the prince and the princess, each including a bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, an anteroom and a bathroom," said Kenneth Gambin, a curator for Heritage Malta. The then-Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip were in the first years of their marriage at the time and moved to Malta when Prince Philip was based there in command of a Royal Navy frigate. The Maltese government agency Heritage Malta acquired the Villa Guardamangia for some five million euros and hopes not just to restore the villa to the way it looked several decades ago, but also to turn it into a museum of Malta's history as a British colony until independence in 1964, and the links with the British royal family.
