EXAMINE SITUATION DURING FLOODS.
Gabor Demszky, the Mayor of Budapest takes pictures while touring
flooded areas of the city in the boat on August 18, 2002. The waters
there have started receding, but more than 20,000 people, including
soldiers, are strengthening flood defences along the upper stretch of
the river and in Budapest. So far, 1,700 people have been moved away
from the flood plains and more evacuations may become necessary.
