Phuc An was born at Vinmec hospital in Hanoi on April 1, when the Southeast Asian country started strict restrictions on movement to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic that has infected more than 3 million people worldwide. The three-week lockdown put most of the social and economic activities throughout the country on hold, but life must go on, and giving birth couldn?t be delayed. Picture taken April 1, 2020. In Bolivia, mothers are entitled to 15 days of maternity leave before they give birth and 45 days after they've given birth. Fathers are entitled to three days. However Ana and Luis are among the majority of Bolivian workers who have no regular jobs which would entitle them to benefits like maternity leave. Huanca returned to work two weeks after giving birth and she take cares of the baby herself as she works. "I felt good, it was a normal delivery and she was born healthy," she said of returning to work so soon after giving birth. Luis, who works as a mechanic, independently, didn't take any leave "The only leave I allowed myself was the day my daughter was born", he said. In a nation awash with guns and with one of the world's highest murder rates, Venezuela's hugely successful classical music program, known as "El Sistema" (The System), has for decades sought to counteract poor children's exposure to violence with the gentle and inspiring influence of classical music. It used to only admit children aged at least 5.
