Boston native Ben Spinney, 19, pushes his Dodge Dakota pickup truck as
he waits for 45 minutes to get gasoline at a station in Phoenix,
Arizona, August 18, 2003. A gas pipeline ruptured near Tucson, Arizona
on July 30 and has interrupted the supply of gasoline in the Phoenix
area. Prices, which averaged about $1.47 a gallon (3.78 liters) for
regular unleaded before the pipeline was shutdown, are as high as $2.29
a gallon today and some stations have been reported selling regular
