Students yell slogans after handing financial aid to the families of the 43 missing trainee teachers at the Teacher Training College Raul Isidro Burgos in Ayotzinapa November 9, 2014. Students from two universities from Mexico City collected the money for the families of the missing students as financial support. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on Sunday condemned violent protests over the apparent massacre of 43 students and tens of thousands of Mexicans have taken to the streets to protest the government's handling of the case of the missing students. Last night protesters in Mexico City set fire to the door of Pena Nieto's ceremonial presidential palace. The students were abducted by corrupt police in southwestern Mexico in September. Though the government said on Friday it looked as though the students had been killed, then incinerated by gangsters working with the police, it stopped short of confirming their deaths for lack of definitive evidence. A customer stands at the entrance door of a KFC store in downtown Shanghai July 31, 2014. A food safety scare in China is testing local consumers' loyalty to foreign fast-food brands, including McDonald's Corp and Yum Brands Inc, which owns the KFC and Pizza Hut chains. Yum said on Wednesday that the scare, triggered by a TV report earlier this month showing improper meat handling by a supplier, Shanghai Husi Food, caused "significant, negative" damage to sales at KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants over the past 10 days. "If the significant sales impact is sustained, it will have a material effect on full-year earnings per share," Yum said in a regulatory filing. REUTERS/ Carlos Barria (CHINA - Tags: BUSINESS FOOD)
