The prototype of "Smart Tooth" is installed in the mouth of a person during a trial session in a laboratory at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University in Taipei September 2, 2013. "Smart Tooth," which is about 1cm in length, is a sensor designed to be embedded in the artificial tooth in order to track people's daily habits like chewing, smoking, drinking, coughing or overeating. The sensor can detect mouth movements and the attached wires can send data to the researchers, according to Kelvin Li, a "Smart Tooth" researcher at the university. William Mombo of Transport for London (TfL) searches along shelves of lost baggage received in the past two weeks at the TFL Lost Property Office (LPO) in central London February 14, 2013. It is estimated that over 15 million items of property have been found across the London transport network since 1933, when it was started. The LPO receives up to 1,500 items per day. Each item is sorted into categories, searched and catalogued. In cases where identification of the owner is obtained from the property, an email or postcard is sent to notify them of the find. On average, one in four items found on the network are restored to their owner. Items received range from the everyday (bags, clothes, glasses), though to the interesting (full suitcases, electronic devices, crutches and baby buggies) through to the downright bizarre (false teeth, breast implants, wedding dresses and a theatrical coffin).
