Thai truck driver Manit Saisapsin, 32, who suffered a head injury and a fractured arm, is photographed in a police station in Baan Na Drim in the Surat Thani province in southern Thailand, 700 km south of Bangkok October 19. Manit was arrested after the police discovered 83 kg of heroin in a secret compartment in his truck after a head-on collision with another vehicle. The impact of the collision split open the floor of the truck's container to reveal the heroin. Thailand is a transit point for heroin originating in the Golden Triangle opium growing region, which straddles the borders of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.
