Kenya's Daniel Komen poses next to the arena clock after breaking the 5000 metres indoor world record at the Globen Galen in Stockholm February 19. Komen set a new mark of 12 minutes 51.48 seconds to beat the old time set by Ethiopia's Haile Gebreselassie.

The race of the Championships could come in the men 3,000 metres between world record holder Gebreselassie and Kenya's world steeplechase champion Moses Kiptanui.
