A statue of Guanyin, also known as the Goddess of Mercy, is seen inside a 100-year-old pavilion, that was a former pumping station, on the grounds of the Beijing Tap Water Museum. September 5, 2012. The museum, claims that it has 130 'real' objects, 110 pictures and 40 models on display. It stands where Beijing's Zhongzhimen Plant first started pumping drinking water to residents around 1910, using a steam engine to circulate the water around the perimeter of the imperial city's walls. The museum, which opened in 2003, topped a list by American television network CNN of the world's weirdest museums last year. Current day residents claim that the water coming out from the taps are unsafe to drink. REUTERS/David Gray (CHINA - Tags: ENVIRONMENT SOCIETY)
