Angelina, a seven-year-old Red Kangaroo, lies on an operating table as she receives treatment for lumpy jaw disease at the Gan-Garoo Australian park, which features wildlife from Australia, near Kibbutz Nir David in northern Israel December 7, 2010. Lumpy jaw is a gum disease common to kangaroos living in captivity. Israeli scientists and veterinarians have developed what they call a new non-invasive treatment for the condition, and say the pasty medicine, if applied at an early stage of the disease, increases the chances for a speedy recovery. A patient is seen before a nose lifting and a so-called "double eyelid surgery", which adds a crease to the eyelids to make the eyes appear larger, at the Korean plastic surgeon Kim Byung-gun's clinic in Shanghai September 16, 2007. Kim, who runs South Korea's largest plastic surgery hospital BK Clinic and is one of the country's most successful surgeons, envisaged a bonanza in China after noting that 40 Chinese women a month were flying to his Seoul clinic for cosmetic surgery. Chinese government officials estimate that $2.4 billion was spent last year on plastic surgery procedures, with 1 million operations taking place.
