Borisova, aged 44, master of sports in alpinism and former Russian champion in mountaineering, is the only female member of the "Spasatel" (Rescuer) state regional search and rescue service group. Dedicated and professional members of the service are trained to save people injured or aggrieved by natural, technogenic and transport accidents on water, in mountains, caves, on rocks including earthquakes, avalanches, fires, explosions.
