A Gibson Harp Guitar, (Circa 1920) is seen on display as part of a new exhibition from the National Guitar Museum "Guitar: The Instrument That Rocked The World" at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, New Jersey, October 3, 2014. With as many as 16 strings, the Harp Guitar evolved from various attempts in Europe and Great Britain to combine the best features of both instruments. The exhibition, which runs from October 4 through January 4, 2015, explores facets of the world's most popular instrument from its history as an instrument of popular culture over the past 400 years to the science of creating sound with wood, steel and other materials.
