The last solar eclipse of the 20th century is due to cover England and parts of Europe as well as the Middle and far East but the early signs were that one of nature's greatests spectacles would be marked by clouds in Europe. The eclipse was due to cover the Netherlands for 90% between 11.09 hours and 13.49 hours.
