MANSION WHERE POLICE SHOT COSTUMED HALLOWEEN PARTY GUEST.
The mansion off Benedict Canyon Road in Los Angeles, October 30, 2000, where actor Anthony Dwain Lee, 39, was shot and killed by Los Angeles police as they were responding to a complaint about a noisy Halloween party October 28. A police officer shot and killed the actor, after he pointed what turned out to be a fake gun at the officer. Lee appeared in the 1997 movie "Liar, Liar" and on several television shows including "NYPD Blue." The shooting took place about 1 a.m. at a crowded party attended by scores of costumed guests, many of them actors and other entertainment industry professionals. A candlelight vigil is planned in memory of the late actor October 30 at the West Los Angeles police station.
