Commuters study fiberglass sculptures by the Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, on display in Grand Central Station in New York, early April 4, 2001. Murakami's exhibit, called "wink," features three large balloons and two fiberglass sculptures which take their inspiration from the world of Japanese animation and comic books. The works were created specifically for display in the station. Picture taken April 4, 2001.
