ACTOR AND DANCER GREGORY HINES DIES OF CANCER AT AGE 57.
Actor Gregory Hines (L) has died of cancer in Los Angeles August 9,
2003, according to his publicist Allen Eichorn in a statement August
10, 2003. Hines, star of the Showtime/MGM cable television movie
"Bojangles" poses with legendary dancer Fayard Nicholas of the famed
Nicholas Brothers at the film's premiere February 1, 2001 in Los
Angeles. The film presents the life story of Bill "Bojangles" Robinson,
one of the greatest tap dancers of all time. Hines, was a Tony Award
winning tap-dancing actor and won a 1993 Tony for the musical "Jelly's
