Residents look at photos by Namir Noor-Eldeen on displayed at a gallery in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad April 8, 2010. The U.S. military's Central Command said on Wednesday it has no current plans to reopen an investigation into a 2007 helicopter attack that killed a dozen people in Baghdad, including two Reuters news staff, amid rights groups' appeals after graphic video footage was leaked. Namir, 22, and his assistant and driver Saeed Chmagh, 40, were killed in the incident.

This picture was on the wide-angled lens camera of Reuters Iraqi photographer Namir Noor-Eldeen, who was killed in Baghdad on July 12, 2007. The frame shows the lower legs of a U.S. soldier and the shadow of another. It was taken some 20 minutes after what appears to have been the last shot taken while Noor-Eldeen was alive. U.S. soldiers took Noor-Eldeen's two digital cameras from the scene in Baghdad's al-Amin al-Thaniyah neighbourhood after he was killed. It appears this shot was taken when the camera bumped against the leg of the soldier who was carrying it. The military returned Noor-Eldeen's cameras to Reuters on Sunday.
