AFGHAN BAKER PREPARES FRESH NAAN BREAD AT A BAKERY IN KABUL.
A baker takes out fresh and warm naan, or Afghan bread, from an
underground brick and clay oven, at a bakery in the Afghan capital
Kabul April 24, 2003. The bakery prepares nearly 2500 naans per day.
Naan, a white flour flat bread, is nearly a feet long, shaped like a
surfboard and marked by long grooves, and is the Afghan staple diet.
