Interfet (International Force in East Timor) soldiers and United Nations civilian police unload the remains of victims exhumed this week from a mass grave site in Passabe, East Timor after they arrived at Dili's Komoro airport by helicopter February 6. An investigation team lead by the United Nations exhumed the site and found 37 bodies and 9 sets of partial remains of victims believed killed after pro-Jakarta militia with the assistance of the Indonesian military and police went on a bloody rampage following last August vote on Independence.

Interfet (International Force in East Timor) soldiers and United Nations civilian police unload the remains of victims exhumed this week from a mass grave site in Passabe, East Timor after they arrived at Dili's Komoro airport by helicopter February 6.
