ROYAL MARINES PASS BY HMS PLOVER IN HONG KONG HARBOUR
Fast Patrol Crafts (FPCs) from the Royal Marines power by Hong Kong island's skyline as crewmembers of the Hong Kong-based patrol ship HMS Plover watch, June 19. The FPCs, on one of their last daily anti-smuggling and anti-immigration operations within the 1,000 square kilometres of Hong Kong waters, will be scrapped within the next week and HMS Plover sold to the Philippines Navy, as the British forces withdraw from Hong Kong after over 150 years of colonial rule.
