Demonstrators blow thier horns during a rally in town of Pozega, some 180 km south-east of Belgrade, organized by the local authorites in defense of the local TV and radio station, March 12. Police used force to shut down TV and radio station Pozega on Sunday in what an opposition politician said was part of heavy-handed operations by the authorities for elections.

SERB REFUGEE FROM KOSOVO RIDES HIS TRACTOR IN POZEGA.
A Serb man, one of around 500 Kosovo Serb refugees which broke through a police cordon in a central Serbian town early on Thursday and tried to head for the Yugoslav capital after spending a night in the open, rides his tractor overloaded with his belongings past policemen in the town of Pozega, some 170km southwest of Yugoslav capital of Belgrade September 11. This group of around 90 refugees will be accommodated in a local factory in Pozega. The United Nations refugee agency UNHCR has said almost 200,000 Kosovo Serbs have fled the province during and since NATO air strikes on Yugoslavia which forced Belgrade to withdraw its security forces in Kosovo and allow in international forces.
