Astronaut Stephen K. Robinson, mission specialist, at the controls of Discovery's remote manipulator system (RMS) robot arm November 3. The Spartan 201-05 satellite can be seen in the grasp of the RMS at left. NASA ground controllers kept an eye on the remnants of catastrophic Hurricane Mitch Thursday as it lashed into the west coast of Florida ahead of this weekend's scheduled landing of the U.S. space shuttle Discovery.

Astronaut Stephen K. Robinson, mission specialist, is busy on Discovery's aft flight deck during operations to retrieve the free-flying Spartan 201-05 satellite November 3. The photograph was taken with an electronic still camera. (ESC) NASA ground controllers kept an eye on the remnants of catastrophic Hurricane Mitch Thursday as it lashed into the west coast of Florida ahead of this weekend's scheduled landing of the U.S. space shuttle Discovery.
