An ornithologist measures a Redshank at a bank of the Pripiat river, near the town of Turov, some 270 km (167 miles) south of Minsk, May 8, 2007. Researchers from the Belarussian Academy of Sciences and Gdansk University ring birds at the floodplain of the southern river to monitor their routes from south to north-east every spring.
