CUBAN ANTHROPOLOGIST SOTO PLACES FLOWER AT COFFIN OF TANIA.
Cuban anthropologist Hector Soto places a flower on top of the coffin containing the skeletal remains of Argentine-German guerrilla Hayde Tamara Bunke Bider, alias "Tania," whose undated portrait stands nearby, September 24 in the Japanese Hospital in this east Bolivian city. The remains of Tania, who died in 1967 fighting the Bolivian army alongside Ernesto "Che" Guevara's band of revolutionaries, were discovered September 19 in the south Bolivian town of Vallegrande about one kilometer from where the same team of anthropologists unearthed the bones of Che in July, 1997. The Cubans in charge of the dig confirmed that the bones will be sent to the same mausoleum housing Guevara's remains in Santa Clara, Cuba.
