Michel Matton, secretary of the socialist FGTB/CMB trade union, Raymond Coumont, secretary of the liberal CNE trade union and Pierre Lemercinier, President of the Walloon steelmakers society (L to R) sign an accord after the result of a referendum on the future of Forges de Clabecq July 18. Clabecq workers voted overwhelmingly in favour of an offer by Italian-Swiss company Duferco to take over the steel works, saving some 900 out of 1,800 jobs.
