OUTSIDE VIEW OF GRIFFITH MEDIRIS PLANT IN FLEURUS SOUTHERN BELGIUM.
Outside view of the Griffith Mediris plant in Fleurus, southern Belgium, October 11. French food firm Gibieroy, which is suspected of selling rotten meat after having it "ionized" to kill germs, has said that Griffith carried out the treatment. Griffiths said it worked with Gibieroy until 1997, but denies knowledge of any wrong-doing. Ionization is used to sterilise food, and kills pathogenic germs like salmonella.
