A GPS tracking device is seen on a falcon during the first day of the Abu Dhabi Falconry 400m competition in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, November 29, 2012. The competition, known as "Al Tilwah" requires the falcons to take off from a starting point and fly the distance of 400m to catch their prey, which is held by a participant guiding the falcon at the finish line by waving a rope with the prey, usually quail, at the end of it. The event runs until December 3. REUTERS/Jumana El Heloueh (UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - Tags: SOCIETY ANIMALS)

NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter image of Curiosity rover and landing site in Mars
This color-enhanced view, taken by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, released by NASA August 14, 2012, as the satellite flew overhead, shows the terrain around the rover's landing site within Gale Crater on Mars. Colors were enhanced to bring out subtle differences, showing that the landing region is not as colorful as regions to the south, closer to Mount Sharp, where Curiosity will eventually explore. In reality, the blue colors are more gray. The rover itself is seen as the circular object, with the blast pattern from its descent stage seen as relatively blue colors. The dark dune fields lying between the rover and Mount Sharp can be seen in the lower portion of the picture. Mount Sharp is out of view, below the image frame. The rover is about 980 feet (300 meters) from the bottom of the picture. This image was acquired six days after Curiosity landed. An ethnic Roma child looks out from a building in a Roma neighbourhood at Romania's northern town of Baia Mare, 550 km (341 miles) northwest of Bucharest, June 19, 2012. Roma is a term for various groups who have migrated across Europe for centuries and are now the biggest ethnic minority in the European Union, most of them from countries like Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. There are an estimated 10 million across Europe and one in five lives in Romania. The vast majority live on the margins of society in abject poverty, which makes them easy targets in troubled times, and pro-democracy groups say post-communist governments in the region have not done enough to improve their plight.
